Our professional engineering position offers the opportunity to advance understanding and abilities in the construction consulting profession to a supervisory level.

 

As a professional engineer, you will be expected take a project, in your respective discipline, from beginning through the end of construction with minimal support. Ability to coordinate with contractors and clients, perform site evaluations, supervise entry, and intermediate level employees will be required.

 

On the job and in-house training will provide you with the necessary tools to advance your career. Client interaction will be required, and you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients through electronic and in person interactions.

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University
  • 4+ years professional design experience in building mechanical or electrical systems
  • Passed Fundamentals in Engineering exam
  • Passed Professional Engineering exam
  • Maintain license in home state
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel
  • Proficient with Autodesk AutoCad and Revit
  • Basic supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Punctual with strong attendance history
  • Motivation to learn, improve and advance
Duties
  • Supervise drawing protocol and design work of entry, intermediate level designers & less experienced engineers
  • Develop schematic designs for owner review
  • Perform and/or review designs at the design development and final design stages
  • Perform and/or review design calculation
  • Select, size and specify building systems
  • Utility coordination
  • Perform site evaluations, construction observation walk-throughs and reports
  • Represent the firm at design coordination meetings
  • Perform and/or supervise specification writing
  • Perform and/or supervise cost estimates
  • Perform and/or supervise submittal review
  • Provide resolutions to project issues during and after construction with minimal assistance
  • Develop and deliver presentations for in-house and client training
  • Assist in client reports and studies
  • Propose initiatives on improving performance and quality
  • Propose improvements to office standards and procedures
  • Demonstrate an advanced level understanding of standard and non-standard plumbing, HVAC and/or electrical systems
